50th Farewell

We were the last to leave, that Sunday morning. Too chilly to be without jackets, skies overcast...a hint of winter in the air.

We let go a string of golden balloons, filled with love, memories of old friendships and more.

As they slowly rose, those golden stars, they paused briefly in the branches of a nearby tree as if to say goodbye...a fond farewell,

Then slowly drifted heaven bound, it seemed, to reach classmates now gone, but always alive in our memories.

Reunion '54....So long planned, So soon over. Until next we meet.

Peace, Health and Happiness
